Pipe bursting is another method for trenchless piping. Here at EMT we have used pipe bursting for underground sewer, rainwater, oil, gas, and water pipes. The HDPE pipe we use is larger in diameter size then the original piping that is being replaced. In order to pipe burst, you need acces to both sides of the pipe. A dedicated winch system is then attached and pulls the new pipe through the old. While it is getting winched it is burting the old pipe, but because the new pipe is so durable it doesnt get damaged during the install. EMT offers pipe bursting sizes of 2" to 6". Residential, Commercial, and Industrial.
